Omani Banking Sector Prospers Amid Merger Activity
Earlier in 1997, the GIC subsidiary Gibcorp sold its majority stake in Commercial Bankof Oman, the smallest bank in the Sultanate, to Oman Savings and Finance Bank (OSFB -formerly ANZ Grindlays' operation).
