Israel and the PLO have resumed their talks on the extension of Palestinianautonomy, a prospect which makes Israeli settlers in the West Bank nervous.Syria and Israel continue to blame each other for the impasse on their track ofthe peace process. In Algeria, the FLN has declined to join talks on thegovernment's proposal to hold presidential elections. The Europeans have onceagain been discussing Islamic fundamentalism with the North Africans....
