Iran Concludes Oil Exchange Deal With Kazakhstan
According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, Iran has signed an agreementwith Kazakhstan which provides for the former to import an initial 2mn tons/year(40,000 b/d) of Kazakh crude oil, rising to 5mn t/y (100,000 b/d) asKazakhstan's production increases. The agreement was signed in the Kazakhcapital of Alma-Ata at the end of an official visit by Iranian President AliAkbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
