Egypt's Hydrocarbon Reserves Unchanged at 6bn Barrels
In recent statements, Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi repeated earlierestimates of the country's hydrocarbon reserves which remain unchanged at about6bn barrels, comprising 3.6bn barrels of crude oil and 2.4bn barrels of oilequivalent of gas. He also said that he expected the country's consumption ofgas to rise to 4.1bn cu. ft./day by the year 2010, including 3.1bn cu. ft./dayfor power generation....
