Britain, France and the US are about to impose a ban on flights of any kindby the Iraqi air force in the south of the country, although the Americansappear to be having second thoughts about the legality - and very possibly thewisdom - of using force to protect Iraqi Shi'a dissidents. The future ofLebanon's parliamentary elections is in doubt after the Phalange party joinedthe other Maronite groups in boycotting the polls.
