Iran Attacks Tanker in Strait of Hormuz
In the first such incident since US and Iranian naval fores clashed in theGulf on 18 April, Iranian gunboats on 24 April attacked the 37,011 dwtLiberian-flag tanker Sea Trader in the Strait of Hormuz, causing minor damage toits crew quarters. The Sea Trader, which was heading in ballast for Ras Tanurain Saudi Arabia, subsequently put into Dubai for inspection.
