Kamel Confirmed as Minister of Industry
On 13 July, the Iraqi President, Mr. Saddam Husain, issued a decree mergingthe Ministry of Industry and Minerals with the Military Industries Commission(MIC) and renaming them as the Ministry of Industry and MilitaryIndustrialization. Brigadier Husain Kamel, former Acting Minister of Industryand head of the MIC, was confirmed as Minister of Industry.
