Petrobel Makes Offshore Oil Discovery at Ras Garra
Petrobel (EGPC/IEOC) has made an offshore oil discovery at Ras Garra, about 25 kms. south of Tor town, off the west coast of the Sinai Peninsula in the Gulf of Suez. The discovery, named the "Sinai field," has yielded 10,000 b/d of 34° API crude oil from two wells whose reserves are provisionally estimated at 6mn and 14mn barrels respectively.
