Jordan Budgets for Bigger Deficit in 1985
The Jordanian budget for 1985, published on 13 December 1984, projects a 49% increase in the deficit from JD11.2mn in 1984 to JD16.7mn in 1985. Expenditure is budgeted to increase by 9.1% (although spending on defense and security has been held at last year's levels), while income will rise by 8.4% over 1984.
