ADNATCO Scraps Two VLCCs
The Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company (ADNATCO) - a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) - has sold two of its VLCCs for scrap to Taiwanese breakers in a deal worth some $8.4mn. The two tankers, which were laid up in the UAE and sold "as is" for a price of around $100/light displacement ton, are the 265,053 dwt Delma (built in Spain in 1975) with a weight of 47,000 light tons, and the 273,504 dwt al-Dhafrah...
