Russian Blue Stream Gas Arrives In Turkey
Russian natural gas on 30 December began arriving at the Turkish port of Samsun on the Black Sea via the Blue Stream pipeline, according to Turkish officials. The pipeline, which runs from Izobilnoy in southern Russia, across the Black Sea to Samsun and on to Ankara, is 1,390km long, with an underwater section running 360km at a depth of up to 2km beneath the surface.
