Japan Reschedules $202Mn Of Jordans Debt
Japan on 16 June rescheduled $202mn of Jordans debt which falls due between July 2002 and December 2007, in accordance with the agreement made with Paris Club creditors in July last year. According to Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Koichi Obata, the amount will be repaid instead by December 2023 with a long-term grace period and at a reduced rate of interest.
