UN Climate Convention Fails To Reach Agreement On Kyoto Accord
The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in The Hague, officially known as the 6th Conference of the Parties (COP6), was suspended without agreement on 25 November after US and EU delegates failed to agree on a compromise put forward by the UK on the role of forests and farmland as carbon sinks areas that absorb carbon dioxide and their capacity to offset carbon emissions.
