Morocco Awards Tangier Port Contract To Bouygues
The Moroccan Government awarded a contract worth $400mn on 21 April to the French construction firm Bouygues for the building of a new, 200-hectares port in Tangier. Work is to begin at the end of the year 2000 and finish in 2004. Bouygues is arranging financing for the deal, which has been put together as a build, operate, transfer (BOT) scheme.
