Debut Tunisian Yankee Bond
Another first for an Arab borrower was chalked up on 17 September when the Central Bankof Tunisia successfully raised $400mn in yankee bonds - paper issued in the domestic US asopposed to the international market. The offer was split into two tranches - $250mn in10-year notes and $150mn in 30-year bonds. The pricing on the tranches was 7.5%, 140bpsover comparable US Treasuries, and 8.25%, 180bps over Treasuries, respectively....
