Supply Of Natural Gas For Domestic Use Begins In Alexandria
Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi has stated that the supply of natural gas for domestic use in the Alexandria area will begin this month. In the initial stage, the distribution network costing E155mn ($45.6mn) will supply gas to 60,000 households. In the second stage, costing about E600mn ($176.5mn), the supply of gas to 265,000 households will begin in July 1997.
