Kuwait Removes Controls On Minimum Deposit Rates And Bank Charges
The Central Bank of Kuwait has abolished its regulations specifying minimuminterest rates which local banks may charge on deposits. It has also removedcontrols on fees which banks can charge for services such as transfers and checkbooks. The measures were to come into effect from 6 February.
