Syria Proposes 13% Increase In Budget Spending For 1995
The Syrian Parliament is considering the government's draft budget for 1995.The draft proposes spending of Sœ162.4bn ($3.9bn at the most commonly usedofficial exchange rate), an increase of 13% on last year. Syrian budgets areusually given final approval several months into the year to which they refer.(For details of the 1994 budget see MEES, 14 November 1994.)
