Iranian Official Calls For Spending Cuts; Majlis Speaker Blames US ForDrop In Oil Price
Mr. Morteza Alviri, an adviser to Iranian President Ali Akbar HashemiRafsanjani and a former deputy chief of planning, said on 13 December that Iranshould consider dropping some "unjustified development projects" inorder to curb spending and save some of the country's foreign currency reservesin the face of lower oil prices....
