Bahrain Stock Exchange Opened To Foreign Investors
Foreigners who have lived in Bahrain for at least one year are now allowed tobuy shares listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange (BSE) and participate in localinvestment funds. The new ruling, which came into effect from 24 July, specifiesthat non-Gulf expatriates may as a group own up to 24% of local quoted companiesand that individuals may hold up to 1%.
