Kuwait Government Proposes Debt Write Off For Egypt And Syria
The Kuwaiti Government has asked the National Assembly to write off $3bn indebts owed to it by developing countries. Egypt would account for $2.77bn andSyria for $127mn. The remainder would consist of accumulated interest on loansto Chad, Guinea, Guyana, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia and Zambia. The proposalis expected to come up for debate in November....
