QGPC Merges Its Offshore and Onshore Divisions
The Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) has merged, with effect from 1October, its two independent operating administrations - the Offshore andOnshore Divisions - into a single organization at QGPC headquarters in Doha. Themerger, which in effect converts QGPC from a holding company into a singleintegrated oil operating venture, is intended to improve overall coordinationwithin Qatar's oil industry.
