Brazil Imports 589,000 b/d of Crude Oil in 1989, Says Petrobras
Brazil imported 589,041 b/d of crude oil in 1989, compared to 639,344 b/d inthe previous year, or a decline of 7.87%, according to the Petrobras 1989 AnnualReport. The value of the 1989 imports was $3.4bn, a 6.3% increase over thepreceding year's $3.2bn. Approximately 334,000 b/d of oil imports were coveredby countertrade contracts with Angola, China, Ecuador, Iran and Iraq worth$1.93bn....
