General
US Crude Oil Imports Averaged 6.2mn b/d in 1H90
According to recently released figures by the American Petroleum Institute(API), US crude oil imports during the first half of 1990 averaged 6.211mn b/d.Saudi Arabia continued to lead the list of suppliers with 1.068mn b/d, followedby Nigeria with 905,000 b/d, Norway with 670,000 b/d, Venezuela with 640,000b/d, Iraq with 626,000 b/d, and Canada with 622,000 b/d. Total OPEC importsaveraged 3.63mn b/d.
