Finland Extends $78mn in Aid to Egypt
Finland has agreed to extend $78mn in aid to Egypt over a four-year period,according to a Finnish embassy spokesman in Cairo on 21 January. The aidincludes $35mn in grants and $43mn in soft loans to be repaid in 25 years,including a seven-year grace period, at a 0.75% annual interest rate. The fundswill be used to finance projects in energy, agriculture, health and publicservices.
