UK and EEC to Send Drought Aid to Sudan
Britain has agreed to increase its aid to drought-stricken Sudan by donating another $1.lmn plus 30,000 tons of food supplies. With this new donation, Britain will have provided $14.3mn worth of famine relief aid to Sudan since the beginning of 1984. The European Economic Community will also send about 100,000 tons of food supplies to Sudan during the next four months.
