Foreign Investment in Egypt Totals E£5.9bn at End 1984
A total of 1,637 projects with a capital of E£5,934mn ($4.9bn) have been approved under the Law 43 'Open Door' commercial legislation in Egypt, according to figures published by the Investment Authority of Egypt. Approximately two-thirds of these projects are either under implementation or in production, and some two-thirds of the total investment has been provided by Egyptians.
