Egyptian Oil Production Falls To 700,000 B/D In 2000; Gas And Condensate Output Rises
MEES learns that Egyptian crude oil production continued its downward trend in 2000, falling by over 11% to 35mn tons (700,000 b/d) from 39.4mn (787,000 b/d) in 1999 and 40.3mn tons (805,000 b/d) in 1998 However, natural gas production rose by 25% to 16.5mn tons compared to 13.2mn tons in 1999 and 11mn tons in 1998.
