Repsol Group Spuds Third Exploratory Well In Khalda Offset Permit
The Repsol group has spudded a third exploratory well in the Khalda Offset concessionin Egypt's Western Desert. The well, Nakhwa-1X, is a test of the oil of the CretaceousAlam El-Bueib "C" and "D" units in a four-way dip closure. Thetargeted depth of the well, which was spudded on 8 August, is 3,657 ms.
