Sudanese President Inaugurates Al-Khurais Topping Plant
The Sudanese President, Lt. Gen. 'Umar Hasan al-Bashir, on 22 July inaugurated Sudan's new 10,000 b/d al-Khurais topping plant, which has been constructed near the town of El Obeid in the Kordofan province north east of the Heglig and Unity fields in central Sudan. The new plant is now being supplied with crude feedstock transported some 510 kms. overland by rail tankers from the Heglig field...
