Iraq's Crude Consumption Rises To 301,000 B/D In 1992

Iraq's crude oil consumption increased to over 15.05mn tons (301,000 b/d) in1992 as compared to 10.3mn tons (206,000 b/d) in 1991, according to dataavailable to MEES. Of the total amount of crude utilized in 1992, 13.6mn tons(272,000 b/d) were processed at refineries to meet domestic consumption and1.45mn tons (29,000 b/d) were used as fuel (direct burning) for electric powergeneration.
