End of Hostilities Could Intensify Efforts to Combat Oil Spills inNorthern Gulf
The end of hostilities in the Gulf has raised hopes that efforts to combatthe oil spills in the northern Gulf can be stepped up. In Saudi Arabia over 300people are currently employed to combat the pollution with 13 vacuum tankers,35 skimmers and dozens of booms that have been installed along the waterintake channels for industrial plants, particularly in Jubail.
