Oil Spill Continues in the Gulf
Environmental experts in Washington and Kuwait have said that thousands ofbarrels of oil are continuing to spill into the waters off Kuwait each day andhave called for urgent action to prevent further damage to the Gulf'secosystems. They assert that oil is gushing from damaged oil storage tanks atthe Mina al-Ahmadi refinery and a sunken Iraqi oil tanker (the Al Fao) near theKuwaiti port of Shuaiba.
