Iran and Turkey Plan to Increase Trade
Iran and Turkey agreed on 17 February to increase their trade volume in 1989to $2bn, following a three-day visit to Ankara by Iranian Prime Minister Mir-HosseinMousavi and Heavy Industry Minister Bahzad Nabavi. The volume of trade betweenthe two countries has witnessed a steady decline over the past three years from$2.9bn in 1985 to around $1bn in 1988.
