AID FLOWS
West Germany and Finland Extend Aid to Egypt
West Germany has agreed to extend Egypt a soft loan worth DM25mn to beutilized in the rehabilitation of the Helwan steel plant in order to raise itsoutput from 60,000 t/y to 100,000 t/y. Finland will grant Fmk.35mn to financesome 17 projects in land reclamation and the improvement of vegetable crops andthe preparation of topographical maps of Sinai and the Eastern Desert.
