IEA Sees 1.2% Rise in OECD Oil Demand in 1986
On the basis of an f.o.b. cost averaging between $16/B and $18/B, the International Energy Agency (IEA) now expects OECD oil demand to rise by 1.2% in 1986 to 34.4mn b/d (from 34mn b/d in 1985), according to the April issue of the IEA's Oil Market Report (OMR). World oil demand (excluding the Centrally Planned Economies) is expected to average 46.1mn b/d in 1986 (up 0.1mn b/d from the forecast in the March OMR).
