Banbi Puts Egypt's Current Oil and Gas Reserves at 5.99bn Barrels
According to the Cairo daily al-Ahram of 29 October, Egyptian Oil MinisterHamdi al-Banbi told the Industry and Energy Committee of Egypt's ConsultativeCouncil that the country's oil and gas reserves increased by 216mn barrels from5.774bn barrels at the end of fiscal year 1989-90 to 5.990bn barrels at the endof 1990-91, despite an output of 420mn barrels of oil and gas during the year.Dr....
