Kandil Puts Egypt's Current Oil Reserves at Over 5.5Bn Barrels
In an exclusive interview with the Cairo daily al-Ahram of 22 November,Egyptian Oil Minister Abd El-Hady Kandil has put Egypt's current oil reserves atover 5.5bn barrels. This is considerably higher than the 4.5bn figure quoted bymost sources until recently (MEES, 25 June).
