1987 Oil and Gas Output Rises 12.3%, Oil Trade Surplus Leaps 110.8%
Egypt's oil and gas output increased to 51,034,000 metric tons in 1987,representing an increase of 12.3% over the 1986 figure of 45,437,000 tons, butonly 4.6% up over the 1985 figure of 48,800,000 tons (see Tables 1 and 2overleaf).
