BTC Oil Pipeline Formally Opened
The presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey on 25 May opened oil valves at Baku as part of a ceremony to mark the formal launch of the 1,760km Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude pipeline. Earlier this month, BTC Company, the BP-led consortium that built, owns and operates the pipeline announced that filling of the BTC head pump station with oil had begun at the Sangachal terminal (MEES, 16 May)....
