Egypt to Borrow from Soviet Union
Agreement has been reached in principal between Egypt and the Soviet Union toarrange export credits worth a total of 200mn, according to a statement by asenior Soviet official in Cairo on 10 May. The credits will be tied to equipmentpurchases for Soviet-built iron, steel and power plants in Egypt.
